Parliamentarian Elmira Akhundova commented on her removal from Azerbaijani delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), APA reports. Akhundova said she regrets it.
“Though I was dismissed from the delegation at my request, it should not have been publicized before the problem is solved. I do not want to be in this delegation. I will not stay there, even if offered,” she said.
The parliamentarian said that she will appeal to speaker Ogtay Asadov to be represented in the delegations to other international organizations.
“I will also express my protest to Samad Seyidov,” she said.
Elmira Akhundova also underlined that this problem has not connection with her protest to annulling parliamentarian Huseyn Abdullayev’s parliamentary immunity and statements of former deputy chief of YAP Sirus Tebrizli in the presentation ceremony of her book.
“I do not face any pressure,” she said. /APA/
