Organization of Russians in South Caucasus holds regional conference

Regional conference of the Organization of Russians in South Caucasus started in Baku, APA reports. Representatives of Russian communities in Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia participate in the conference.
Alexander Chepurin, head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s department for ties with Russians living abroad said that the aim of the conference is to discuss integration of Russians, ensuring cultural relations among them, education in Russian and other problems.
Parliamentarian Mikhail Zabelin was awarded order of Peter the Great for his contributions to Azerbaijan-Russia relations.
Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasili Istratov addressed the conference. /APA/
