Baku – APA. Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a visit to Turkey on Oct. 11, marking his first visit to the country after relations between Ankara and Moscow were put back on track following a crisis last year, Kanal 24 has reported.
The Russian president is scheduled to visit Istanbul on Oct. 11, the channel said.
On Aug. 9, President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan met with Putin in St. Petersburg in a sign of reconciliation between the two countries after Turkey downed a Russian SU-24 jet near the Syrian border on Nov. 24, 2015, for violating its air space.
It was also ErdoÄŸan’s first foreign visit after the failed coup of July 15.
The two leaders had also met at the G-20 Summit in China earlier this month.
