“Since the Russia-Ukraine war began, we have tried to keep the war away from the Black Sea,” Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, APA reports.
The minister noted that attacks targeting ships in the Black Sea have increased in recent months: “Azerbaijani and Turkish sailors have been killed in these attacks. The continuation of this is unacceptable. We are giving the necessary warnings to the parties. As Türkiye, we continue our contacts to achieve peace in the Russia-Ukraine war. Even the worst peace is better than war.”
