Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi that Ankara was ready to assume guarantor role to resolve crisis between Israel and Palestinians in Gaza, Turkish presidency said on Thursday, APA reports citing The Jerusalem Post.

Erdogan and Raisi met on the sidelines of a summit of Economic Cooperation Organization in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent, according to a statement of the Turkish presidency.

Turkish President also said that Islamic world should take joint stance and increase pressure on Israel.
