Türkiye declares 3-day national mourning for Gaza attack victims-UPDATED

Türkiye declared a three-day national mourning in honor of those who died in the recent Gaza attacks on Gaza, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Wednesday, APA reports.

A three-day national mourning has been declared as “a requirement of our respect for thousands of martyrs, most of whom are children and innocent civilians,” Erdogan said on X.

“As Türkiye, we feel the great suffering of our Palestinian brothers and sisters in our hearts,” Erdogan added.

Earlier, Egypt declared three days of national mourning for the victims of an Israeli airstrike on a hospital in Gaza.

Türkiye will declare three days of mourning over Gaza, APA reports citing TRT Haber.

According to the decision of the Presidential Administration of Türkiye, mourning will be announced due to the bombing of a hospital in the Gaza Strip in connection with the loss of life of about 500 people.
