“Our nation can rest assured that the Republic of Türkiye, together with Georgia and Azerbaijan, has mobilized all its resources for our heroes. We are monitoring the situation in the area moment by moment,” said President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, APA reports.
“We will ensure that the necessary investigations are carried out thoroughly and that all aspects of the incident are fully clarified,” Erdoğan emphasized.
The Turkish President also made a call to citizens regarding the incident: “I especially urge our people to stay alert against lies, manipulation, and disinformation. I call on them not to believe those who, particularly on social media, stoop so low as to exploit such a tragedy for vile political purposes.”
Recall that yesterday, a Turkish C-130 military transport aircraft en route from Azerbaijan to Türkiye crashed in Georgian territory. All 20 soldiers on board were killed in the crash. The bodies of 19 of the 20 soldiers have been recovered.
