Turkish Airlines announced late Tuesday that 61 flights scheduled for Dec. 31 were mutually canceled due to expected adverse weather conditions across parts of Türkiye, APA reports citing Türkiye Today.
Turkish Airlines Communications Director Yahya Ustun said in a statement shared on X that the cancellations were made to ensure flight safety.
“Dear passengers, due to expected adverse weather conditions in the eastern and central parts of our country, 61 of our flights scheduled for Dec. 31 have been mutually canceled,” Ustun said.
“Our passengers can follow their flight status and options regarding ticket procedures via turkishairlines.com and our mobile application. Flight safety is our priority," he added.
