Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Thodex, was found hanging in the bathroom of his solitary cell in prison, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.
It should be noted that Faruk Fatih Özer, who was accused of defrauding many people through the cryptocurrency exchange Thodex he founded, was caught in Albania, where he fled, on August 30, 2022, and brought to Türkiye.
He was facing a prison sentence of 11,190 years and 6 months on charges such as "establishing, managing and being a member of a criminal organization", "fraud" and "legalizing property values".
