Official Ankara has dismissed as unfounded reports claiming that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will provide $10 million in financial aid to people in need in Armenia, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.
Türkiye's Presidential Communications Directorate’s Center for Countering Disinformation has issued a statement on the matter.
It was stated that claims about $10 million in aid linked to Armenia are disinformation.
“The claims that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ‘signed a decree on providing $10 million in financial aid to the families of soldiers who died in Armenia and to people in need’ are completely unfounded.
We consider it essential that the public does not trust disinformation targeting our country and Türkiye–Azerbaijan relations, and that they take into account only statements made by official institutions,” the statement noted.
