The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a statement condemning the Israeli parliament’s vote on the annexation of the West Bank of the Jordan River, APA reports.
The Prime Minister’s office called the vote a “political provocation by the opposition.”
“The vote held in the Knesset regarding annexation is a political provocation by the opposition aimed at creating discord during the visit of US Vice President James David Vance to Israel. The Likud party (ruling party) and religious parties did not vote for the adoption of this law,” Netanyahu’s office stated.
