At least 11 people were killed and 60 more were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, APA reports citing NDTV.
Eleven people, including a child, were killed in a road accident in Sivaganga district, the state police chief said.
The collision between the buses was so violent that the front end of one vehicle was completely torn off.
A rescue operation is underway at the scene of the accident. An investigation has been launched. This is the second major accident involving passenger buses in Tamil Nadu in the past week.
