The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should join Türkiye, said MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, APA reports.
He called on the parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to urgently vote on joining the Republic of Türkiye.
“The results of the elections in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were achieved with very low voter turnout. Even though the election results have already been announced, the parliament should convene immediately, declare the election results unacceptable, reject a return to a federal state, and decide on unification with Türkiye. This issue has nothing to do with democratic rights,” emphasized the leader of the MHP.
Note that Tufan Erhürman won the presidential elections in the TRNC. He supports the two-community federation model in the Cyprus issue.
