Türkiye intends to join the military defense alliance established between nuclear-armed Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Bloomberg reported, citing sources, APA reports.
According to the sources, the negotiations have already reached the final stage and the signing of the agreement may take place soon.
It is reported that if this happens, a new security alliance will be created that could change the balance of power in the Middle East and the wider region.
Note that according to the agreement signed between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in September last year, "any aggression" is considered an attack on both countries, as stated in Article 5 of NATO.
