Japan's new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has refused to ban imports of liquefied gas from Russia, an anonymous sources told Reuters, APA reports.
Prime Minister said during a meeting with US President Donald Trump that it would be difficult to refuse such imports.
During Trump's visit to Japan on October 27, Takaichi asked Trump to show understanding about Japan's energy needs.
Note that Russia has a 9% share in Japan's liquefied gas imports.
Before that, various reports were spread in the Western media about China and India stopping oil purchases from Russia.
