The Lebanese president said that the current atmosphere makes compromise necessary.
"The Lebanese state, with the support of the US and the UN, previously held negotiations with Israel. The result of these negotiations was the demarcation of the maritime border. So what is preventing us from holding negotiations now to find a solution to important issues?" The Lebanese president asked a rhetorical question.
