A meeting of the interior ministers of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is being held in Iran, APA reports, citing Iranian media.
At the beginning of the meeting, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian delivered a speech and noted that most foreign interventions in modern history have occurred in the ECO region.
The event is attended by the interior ministers of Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan, as well as the deputy interior ministers of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the ECO Secretariat, as well as the Interior Minister of Oman and the Deputy Minister of Interior of Iraq, are represented as guests.
Note that at the summit, security, border diplomacy, the economy, and other issues will be discussed.
