The resignation of Mehdi Sanayi, the Iranian President's political advisor, has been confirmed, said Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohejerai, APA reports.
She added that she was unaware of whether Mehdi Sanayi's resignation had been accepted.
Mehdi Sanayi is reported to have resigned amid protests in Iran.
Note that after the sharp depreciation of the Iranian rial against the US dollar, entrepreneurs in Tehran held protests in protest of the difficult economic situation.
