Iranian student Mahdiyya Esfandiari, who was arrested in France for participating in anti-Israel protests, is being prepared for a prisoner exchange, an official for consular affairs at the Iranian Foreign Ministry told Tasnim, APA reports.
According to him, Esfandiari has been placed in the exchange channel by France.
“We have prepared a package on political and consular issues, and both countries (Iran, France) must comply with this package,” the diplomat said.
It should be noted that two French citizens, Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris, have been detained in Iran since 2022.
