The immunity files of Republican People’s Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel and 11 other members of parliament have been submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, APA reports, citing Turkish media.
A total of 18 immunity files concerning 12 MPs — including Özgür Özel, Workers’ Party of Türkiye (TİP) Chairman Erkan Baş, and CHP deputy group chairs Ali Mahir Başarır and Murat Emir — have been forwarded to the Parliament’s Speaker’s Office.
The relevant documents have been referred to the competent parliamentary commission.
It is reported that Özgür Özel is facing seven separate immunity cases.
