“Donald Trump’s policies that he intends to implement coincide with Türkiye's interests," said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during his speech at the 23rd “Doha Forum” held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
The minister stated that Türkiye primarily demands a ceasefire in Ukraine: “We are facing many difficulties in the Eurasian region. The situation remains tense in Ukraine as well as in Gaza. In Syria, the processes have started to settle to some extent.
The policy that Trump intends to pursue coincides with Türkiye's interests. First and foremost, we asked for a ceasefire in Ukraine. We have learned very hard lessons from what has happened. By mediating in the events taking place in our region, we help alleviate the difficulties people are facing,” Hakan Fidan noted.
