International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said on Wednesday that the agency is in regular contact with Iranian authorities to secure the full resumption of inspections of Tehran's nuclear sites, APA reports, citing breakingthenews.net.
"Our inspectors are back in Iran and have carried out inspections at facilities unaffected by June's [Israeli and American] attacks, but more engagement is needed to restore full inspections," Grossi noted in a post on X following the IAEA's Board of Governors meeting.
Iran suspended cooperation with the IAEA back in July, accusing the agency of sharing inaccurate reports on the country's nuclear program. The IAEA claimed in June that Tehran violated its nuclear safeguards obligations, which was followed by Israeli strikes on Iran's nuclear sites.
