Ekrem Imamoglu has been sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
The court acquitted Ekrem İmamoğlu of "targeting people involved in the fight against terrorism," but sentenced him to 1 year, 5 months, and 15 days of imprisonment for "openly insulting a public official for performing his official duties," and to 2 months and 15 days of imprisonment for "threatening and intimidation."
Imamoglu received a total prison sentence of 1 year and 8 months without any political ban.
