The number of people killed in the Philippines as a result of typhoon "Kalmaegi" has risen to 114, while 127 people remain missing, APA reports, citing foreign media.
Diego Mariano, Deputy Spokesperson of the Philippines Civil Defense Office reported the figures.
According to him, the most affected area is Central Visayas.
Noted that powerful typhoon tore off roofs, uprooted trees and power poles, and caused massive flooding.
As a result of the typhoon, more than 500,000 people have been displaced and over 1.4 million have been affected.
Severe flooding and landslides have also cut off roads in remote areas, and electricity has been disrupted in some locations.
