China said that Japan's military actions in the region pose a real threat to China's security, China's Foreign Ministry said, APA reports.
The ministry's statement emphasizes that Japan's regular reconnaissance flights and interference near planned exercises of the Chinese army pose the greatest risk to maritime and air security in the region.
According to Beijing, Tokyo is distorting the facts about the alleged radar targeting of Japanese military aircraft by Chinese fighters in the recent incident and shifting the responsibility to China. This serves to confuse the international community and increase tension.
The Foreign Ministry said that Japan is misleading the international community, that Tokyo is the one who is increasing tension, and that all these steps have hidden political goals. Beijing strongly protested to Japan and demanded that it stop dangerous steps that hinder the planned exercises of the Chinese army, stop groundless propaganda and immediately end political manipulations.
