Those who shared the post on the Greek Air Force's "X" account should be held accountable, said Ömer Çelik, spokesman for Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), regarding the photo shared on the Greek Air Force's social media account, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.

Çelik stated that the post regarding the C-130 cargo plane was disrespectful to the memory of the martyrs. He criticized the Greek Air Force for sharing the photo of the C-130 and welcomed the fact that the post was later deleted, calling it a correct step.

He added that during earthquakes and disasters, countries support each other and share each other’s pain. Çelik emphasized that Turkey demands an investigation into the reasons behind the post and appropriate measures against those responsible: “We expect necessary actions to be taken against those who published that appalling message and for them to be punished accordingly.”

Recall that the Greek Air Force had shared a photo of the C-130 cargo aircraft on social media under the title “photo of the day.” Following Turkey’s protest, the post was deleted. Subsequently, the Greek Air Force published a condolence message on its “X” account, signed by General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, expressing deep condolences to the Turkish Air Force and the families of the martyrs.
