Baku-APA. More than 30 people were injured on Wednesday in a major accident involving a Houston METRO bus that crashed into a truck and a traffic sign, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The accident, which occurred earlier Wednesday afternoon, involved a black Ford pickup truck that ran a stop sign and crashed into the METRO bus, forcing the METRO bus into a freeway sign.
Twenty-eight people, including one that sustained critical injuries, were sent to the hospital for medical treatment, but four others with minor injuries refused to be transported to the hospital.
A spokesperson for the Houston METRO said that the bus driver, who is female, was extricated from the bus, and was in stable condition in the hospital.
The METRO bus has working cameras that will be used as part of the investigation of the accident.
