The head of the United States Foreign Department, during his speech at a briefing for journalists, criticized China, accusing it of encroaching on freedom of speech and the norms of democracy not only in this Asian country, but also in the world as a whole.
"Taiwan is literally at the forefront of China's hybrid warfare involving disinformation, including cyberattacks," he said.
“We are deeply concerned about what we see from the PRC in terms of the misuse of technology to expand the surveillance of fellow citizens, journalists, activists and others, their harassment and intimidation, censorship. And including abroad, ”said Blinken.
“Ultimately, this state of affairs cannot continue,” the Secretary of State said.
