Baku-APASudan on Tuesday announced its support for a regional plan within Libya's neighboring countries to resolve the conflict in Libya, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The two sides, headed respectively by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and Libya's Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani, on Tuesday held joint talks in Khartoum. They reviewed bilateral ties and agreed to implement the military agreements signed between the two countries.

Al-Bashir reiterated the importance of bringing the Libyan rivals together towards a comprehensive political solution agreed upon by all parties to achieve peace and stability in Libya, expressing his country's readiness to provide whatever may achieve national reconciliation in Libya.

Al-Thani, for his part, said his country is keen to find a peaceful political solution within Libya as a united country.

Speaking to reporters following the talks, Sudan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Karti said his country has adopted "a clear plan, within Libya's neighboring countries" to resolve the conflict.

He added that the plan was supported by the two sides, noting that it would be proposed in a wider context.

Libya's Prime Minister Al-Thani arrived in the Sudanese capital city of Khartoum on Monday, starting an official three-day visit.
