Baku-APA. The Egyptian armed forces managed to arrest six militants reportedly belonging to hardline Jihadist movement in north Sinai, a security source told Xinhua on Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"Forces from the second field army arrested on Saturday six elements from the Jihadist and criminal groups in an operation to eradicate the terrorist hideouts in Sinai," the source said.
Meanwhile, five Palestinians were also arrested when they attempted to penetrate into the Egyptian lands via regional water, said the source.
The source added that a total of 31 criminal suspects were arrested on Friday, including four Eritreans who were about to sneak into Israel.
