The reservations made earlier will now be transferred to other airlines, Hossam Kamal said.
Earlier on Friday, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) sent a telegram to Moscow’s Domodedovo airport where Egypt Air had been making three flights a week. The telegram said the flights would be banned provisionally.
The press service of Russia’s national flag carrier, Aeroflot, said air communication with Egypt would be suspended as of December 1, 2015, to March 27, 2016.
