Baku-APA. All flights are cancelled Wednesday at the international airport of the Libyan capital until further notice due to the bad weather, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Tripoli has been witnessing sand storms for a few days, which has been causing traffic congestion on the roads as well.
Ibrahim Belhaj, deputy director of the airport, told Xinhua that for the flights that are already in Tripoli's sky, the pilots have been advised to change route and land in the nearest airport.
A large number of passengers are stranded at the airport, waiting for the weather to get better, Belahj said.
