Landslide prevented in last well of mass grave in Guba

Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA. â€œA landslide was prevented in the last well of the mass grave in Guba, an evidence of the genocide committed by the Armenians against the Azerbaijani people in 1918â€, head of the Guba genocide research group, senior associate of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences Gahraman Aghayev told APA. He said local executive officials supported them to repair splits in the well.

Aghayev said the mass grave was very important for the history of Azerbaijan. He said it needed not to allow the mass grave to go to ruins because it could make Armenians to strengthen their lies before the international community. â€œArmenian claims that bones found in the mass grave belong to Armenians, but not to Azerbaijani people. They try to mislead the international community claiming that Azerbaijanis killed Armenians and then buried theme there. If the last well of the mass grave collapses, Armenians will tell than Azerbaijan destroyed it to cover up traces of Armenian bones. Therefore we have to protect the facts that these wells could give to the Azerbaijani history and to prevent Armenian liesâ€.

First well of the mass grave collapsed in 2007-2008 because of indifferent attitude.
