The head of state cut the red ribbon symbolizing the opening and familiarized with the center.
President was told that 1.5ha area had been allocated for the construction of the center. The center has 30-room teaching building. The canteen, gym, playground, computer rooms have been supplied with modern equipment. There is a Jewish history and culture center, library. All conditions have been created so that the complex can function both as an educational and cultural center.
President of CIS Jewish Communities Federation and Ohr-Avner International Foundation Lev Leviev spoke about the care for Jews in Azerbaijan, underlined that our country is an example of tolerance.
The award for contributions to the development of tolerance in Azerbaijan and dialogue among religions was presented to President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, parliamentarian Mehriban Aliyeva.
