Event devoted to women’s leadership project held - PHOTOSESSION
A short documentary film "Aspiring to the light", shot within the project, was demonstrated and discussed in the event. The project-related works, done within it, its discussion and the prospects also took place. The project manager, chairman of the Public Association "For Women’s Leadership" Ulker Abdullaeva emphasized that the complexes formed in Azerbaijan as a result of customs and traditions, national mentality, conservatism and the problems, related to protection of women from outside influences in the families, and most importantly illiteracy, prevent disclosure of most women’s leadership skills. The aim of this project is to help women in the liberation of these complexes, assistance in realization of the public life at least the equality of the demographic majority. The project also provides for the disclosure of young women’s leadership skills, their education the leadership technologies, which are successfully implemented in the West, their preparation for social activities, public administration, their learning to turn them into real women’s power, which will help in solution women’s rights-related problems. The project has been completed. For the period of project implementation, the organization carried out a survey among 200 young women about whether they want to become the project participants. Those, who positively responded to the survey, were involved in the project. 70 women were the attendees of "Leadership" trainings. At the beginning and end of the trainings, they responded to the tests to verify their knowledges in the field of leadership. In comparison with the first test, the training attendees showed better results in the final test. Their responses were rated by 100 point grade. 55 attendees scored over 80 points. They were awarded the certificates. Within the project a film "Aspiring to the lightâ€, where the course attendees partook and shared thier views on women’s leadership, was also shot.
After the film presentation the partciapnts discussed both film and women’s leadership theme. The Milli Mejlis deputies, attendees of the "Leadership" courses within the project, journalists, and NGO leaders participated in the event.
