Azerbaijan University of Languages and Perugia University of Italy to continue cooperation â€“ <font color=red> PHOTO </font>

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) and Perugia University of Italy signed a new agreement on cooperation because previous one expired. AUL rector Samad Seyidov organized a meeting between the professors and students of the universities before the signing ceremony. Seyidov said relations between his university and Perugia were developing rapidly. â€œItalian language center at our university will give a chance to the students to closer learn Italy and to be fluent in Italianâ€, said Seyidov.

Rector of Perugia University Mrs. Stephanie Giannini spoke about the relations between the universities and said there were useful opportunities for experience exchange. She said Azerbaijani students showed great interest to the Italian language. Then Seyidov and Giannini signed an agreement on cooperation between the Azerbaijan University of Languages and Perugia University of Italy.

The universities aim to develop bilateral relations and to organize joint workshops, lessons, meetings and conferences and to develop scientific researches, as well as to develop exchange programs, programs of Masters of Arts and to organize summer schools for the students.

Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mario Baldi also attended the meeting.

Italian language has been taught at the Azerbaijan University of Languages since 2001, but the Italian language center was established in February, 2009.
