Officers of the center exercised to eliminate results of conditional 7.5-magnitude earthquake in 75 km from Lankaran city. They immediately arrived at scene of conditional oil tank fire caused by an earthquake which destroyed an administrative building and injured the workers.
The conditional fire was extinguished and two injured people were hospitalized.
Official of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Izzat Ibadov told journalists that the exercises aimed to organize quick reaction to any emergency situation, to strengthen relations between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other relevant organizations, to create ability to make quick decisions and to organize rescue operations. He said they would continue to conduct such exercises.
74 staff members and 9 technical means were involved in the exercises.
