Psychosocial rehabilitation summer school organized for children with diabetes in Azerbaijan by the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

The summer school organized in Ganja city which will be open within 15 days, is considered for orphan children, as well as for refugees and IDPs, families having 30 children with diabetes. The main purpose in establishment of summer school is to prepare young leaders who will be able to give preliminary medical and psychological support for other children in future.

Along with organization of interesting holiday, the program which will start on August 23, includes holding of lessons serving the securance of psychosocial rehabilitation of children, development of self-trust, self-defence, self-affirmation in teen-agers, formation of demonstrating methods of tolerant attitude toward the incidents happened in own life and around. For this purpose, the working group including endocrinologist, psychologist and other specialists will hold trainings providing children with appropriate habits by using individual consultations and psychotherapeutics.

Children will get acquainted with historical-worth seeing places, take part in English language courses, write compositions in different topics, try their strength in contests, intellectual games and sport competitions.

Note that, the summer school is organized for second year.
