The State Student Admission Commission (SSAC) told APA that 54 world and European champions, 3 winners of music competitions, 1 winner of the painting competition had submitted applications for admission to the universities without taking exams. SSAC has presented the list of the competitions, in which the sportsmen participated, to the Youth and Sport Ministry. The Ministry did not approve the competitions of approximately 20 sportsmen, who applied by June 22. SSAC will present the list of the competitions, in which the applicants had participated, to the Youth and Sport Ministry and learn whether they will be approved. After the Ministry approves the competitions the Cabinet of Ministers will also confirm them.
The Commission said 2 of the 3 applicants from music competitions, 1 applicant from painting competition, coincide with the list presented by the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
Those whose applications are approved will be admitted to the government-ordered target places of the universities.
