Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. The issue of Azerbaijan IDPs and refugees suing of Armenia at the international court remains unresolved, said Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Ali Hasanov, APA reports.
The committee chairman said Armenians moved from Azerbaijan in that time tried to sue Azerbaijan at the European Court. In response, Azerbaijani refugees from Armenian and internally Displaced Persons also appealed the European Court, which changed the situation. “Even the European Court started to review the Armenians’ appeal in that time, but when they received appeals from Azerbaijan too, they changed mind and canceled the hearingâ€.
As a result of deportation against Azerbaijanis in Armenia and Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan since 1988, more than one million Azerbaijani people have become refugees and internally displaced persons.
