The participants appealed to speaker of the parliament Ogtay Asadov. The appeal signed by Sheikh-ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh will be held to the parliament. It says that January 20 tragedy is a big crime against Azerbaijani people.
“As the author of the open appeal revealing the executioner of the empire Mikhail Gorbachov, who led this crime, this is my mission before the martyrs of January 20 to expose the perpetrators of the tragedy. Taking all this into account, I ask you, as the body defending the legal interests of the Azerbaijani citizens, to sue these executioners in the International Court of Justice. The world community must be informed about the essence of their actions basing on the evidences, documents, testimonies of witnesses. I am sure that Azerbaijani parliament will do its best for the sake of justice to punish the perpetrators.”
