Council of Government Support for NGOs holds regular meeting â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

Baku â€“ APA. The Council of Government Support for Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of Azerbaijan held its regular meeting on January 15 to discuss its annual report, press service of the Council told APA.

There was exchange of opinion about the approval of grant contracts in notorial order according to the regulations of registration of grant contracts and decisions. The council decided to prepare proposals to amend the article about the approval of grant contracts submitted to the Ministry of Justice in notorial order.

Fulfillment of the article of NGO law about NGOâ€™s report to the Ministry of Finance was also focused at the meeting. It was emphasized that there were some problems. Some issues related to the form and essence of the report was new for the NGO accounting. There is need in improvement of report forms and training of NGOs in this field. It was emphasized that it needs in time to take some preparatory measures and decided to prepare proposals to start submission of the NGO financial reports to the Ministry of Finance from April 1, 2011.

The Council also discussed the issue of NGO registration. Chief of the registration and notorial department of the Ministry of Justice, member of the Council Ilgar Mammadov briefed the participants about the NGO registration and answered the question of the Council members.
