112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has received information about a fire in a forest near the village of Khachmaz in the Oguz region, Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
In connection with the information, the forces of the Oguz District Fire Department of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately involved in the area.
Despite the windy weather, the fire was extinguished in a short time and prevented from spreading to a large area. As a result of the fire, about 1.5 hectares of dry grass and bushes burned, and a dense forest area was protected from fire. Employees of the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources also took part in extinguishing the fire.
