Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Rashad Alakbarov, who was accused under Articles 192.1 (illegal entrepreneurship), 247 (violation of environmental protection rules in the course of work), and 308.1 (abuse of power) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, has been released, his advocate Adam Mammadov told APA.

Advocate A. Mammadov has applied to the court in order to change the measure taken against him.

Binaqadi District Court positively responded to the application.

R.Alakbarov was released from the courtroom.

Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Rashad Alakbarov was arrested, his awyer Adam Mammadov said, APA reports.

According to him, Alakbarov Rashad Boyukaga, who made the 16-meter statue of Imadeddin Nasimi, was brought as an accused under Articles 192.1 (illegal entrepreneurship), 247 (violation of environmental protection rules in the course of work), and 308.1 (abuse of power) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

"Despite the fact that he is accused of less serious crimes, does not evade the invitations of the preliminary investigation body, today, by the decision of the Binagadi district court, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen against him," the lawyer said.
