On April 11, a meeting has been held at the administrative building of Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) dedicated to discussion of the current situation in the country's utilities, including gas, and possible emergencies, APA reports.
Minister of Emergency Situations Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, heads of relevant structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Baku City Executive Power Eldar Azizov, Director General of Azerigas Production Union Ruslan Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Energy Kamal Abbasov, Deputy Chairman of Azerishig OJSC Gadir Ismayilov and Deputy Chairman of Azersu OJSC Kocharli Hasanov have attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov has noted that the meeting has been held under the instructions of First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. He has broadly spoken about the current situation in the country's utilities, including gas.
Speaking about the explosion at the Location nightclub in Baku on April 3, the Minister has said that the gross violations of fire safety rules in public catering facilities, including basements and first floors, especially in gas facilities, can lead to a tragedy and is a potential source of danger at any time.
