â€œEcstasy caseâ€ trial to be continued on March 4

Baku. Hafiz Heydarovâ€“APA. The hearing on the case of Orkhan Nadirov, son of Peopleâ€™s Artist Ilhama Guliyeva, Mahir Mirsalamov and Yalchin Hasanov, sons of former Baku and Azizbayov prosecutors Adalat Mirsalamov and Rashid Hasanov and 11 others was continued in the Court of Grave Crimes on Wednesday. APA reports that judge Azer Orujov presided over the process.
Lawyers of accused Zubiya Gulami and Hasan Hasanov petitioned to change the criminal case against their clients and to release them from the prison. The court didnâ€™t accept the petition. Judge Orujov proposed to finalize the trial, but public prosecutor Nariman Alekberov protested it. He asked the court to allow him time. After the long discussions, the court decided to proceed the finalizing of the court investigation on March 4.

According to the indictment, Orkhan Nadirov, Mahir Mirsalamli, Yalchin Hasanov, Elshan Rustamov, Ali Ismayilov, Zubiye Gulami, Vugar Aliyev, Javidan Aliyev, Ramin Hasanov, Kamila Eyvazova, Elshan BUdagov, Hasan Hasanov, Mirali Aliyev faced charges under articles 234.1 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) and 234.4.1 (Illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances on preliminary arrangement by group of persons or organized group) of the Criminal Code.
