One more man arrested for attacking foreign exchange office employee in Sumgayit

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. One of those who attacked the employee of foreign exchange office and robbed a large sum of money and jewelries in Sumgayit city of Azerbaijan has been arrested. Sumgayit police office told APA that one more of the assaulters, resident of Saray settlement of Absheron region, Ilham Huseynaga Asgarov, 25, had been arrested. He admitted his guilt while giving preliminary testimony during the investigation.

Another assaulter - resident of Saray settlement of Absheron region working as a dentist in Sumgayit, Parvin Khagani Hashimov, 25, was detained yesterday. As material evidence, the police took the money, jewelries they had robbed and the knife they had used while committing the crime.

The incident happened in front of the building in the 41st district, 1b in Sumgayit on February 18. Resident of the building, employee of the foreign exchange office in Karvan trade center Murshid Jumshud Huseynov was attacked by two unknown men while returning home. The assaulters knifed him, took AZN 40,000 and jewelries worth AZN 14,000 and escaped. Huseynov was hospitalized. According to doctors, the state of health is stable.
