Organized criminal accused of deliberate murder, kidnapping and capture of hostage arrested in Uzbekistan and extradited to Azerbaijan

The organized criminal group led by Georgian citizen Mugdet Omarov committed grave crimes such as deliberate murder, kidnapping, capture of hostage in Azerbaijan and Georgia in 1991-1999. Omarov captured his grandchild in 1998 and received USD 700.000 from his children and released the child. 10 of 12 members of the organized group were arrested in 2006. The officials of Narimanov Police Station #18 arrested Fuzuli Vahid Mammadov, 43, one more member of the criminal group late in 2008.
Last member of the criminal group Nabi Aflatun Aliyev, 40, has been arrested during operations carried out by Baku Main Police Department and Narimanov Police Station#18 in Uzbekistan and extradited to Baku. He was accused of committing grave crimes in Baku such as deliberate murder, capture of hostage demanding amount of money.
Prosecutorâ€™s Office Investigation Department on Affairs with Grave Crimes has launched an investigation on the case.
