Former officer of Azerbaijani Army threatens some persons in trial

Baku. Ramil Mammadli-APA. The hearing on the case of former officer of Azerbaijani Army Kamran Asadov and 19 others continued in the Military Court of Grave Crimes. APA reports that judge Islam Neymanov presided over the process.
Officer of Yasamal district police office Rustam Agayev gave testimony in the hearing. He spoke about his relations with Elnur Gurbanov, who had brought the defendants in his car to Baku in 2007. The testimonies given by the relatives of the defendants during the preliminary investigation were announced. Kamran Asadovâ€™s wife Sabina Asadova said her testimony that she was unaware of his crimes. Asadova said she had belonged to Christian-Lutheran community before, later as a result of Kamran Asadovâ€™s propaganda she converted to Islam. Sabina Asadova said she knew about about the incident later. Kamran Asadov commented on his wifeâ€™s testimony. He said Sabina Asadovaâ€™s interrogation was illegal.
â€œMy family was brought from Georgia. They kept them without eating and interrogated. I will answer the acts against my family. I wanted to make jihad. My parents and relatives knew it, because this is my faith. My wife was also aware of my faith. She knew very well whom she was marrying. Simply during our last meeting I did not tell her what I was going to do,â€ he said.
The testimonies of Kamran Asadovâ€™s father Shakir Asadov, Bakhtiyar Orujovâ€™s mother Khuraman Orujova, his former wife Mirvari Ibadova, Farid Jabbarovâ€™s father Pasha Jabbarov were announced.
Video of the operations carried out during the preliminary investigation was demonstrated during the hearing.
The hearing will continue on February 18.
Kamran Asadov, Bakhtiyar Orujov, Farid Jabbarov, Elshan Mammadov, Kamran Babayev, Samir Mehbaliyev, Terlan Karimov, Edgar Aliyev, Ramil Karimov, Shirvani Babayev, Samir Aliyev, Yalchin Maharramov, Orkhan Alizadeh, Hajibala Huseynov, Azer Ibadov, Shahriyar Maharramov, Ramin Jalilov, Rovshan Abdulaliyev, Ilkin Ismayilov and Vugar Aliyev are accused of setting up a radical religious group, attempting to start military struggle, attacking on LUKoil petrol station in Baku, preparing terror attack on the U.S. and UK embassies in Azerbaijan.
