General Prosecutor’s Office completed preliminary investigation of 70 corruption-related criminal cases against 121 persons in Azerbaijan

Press service of General Prosecutor’s Office told APA that it was noted in the report on the outcomes of 2008 made by Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov at the board meeting in General Prosecutor’s Office. The report noted that positive activities had been carried out by the Department to Combat Corruption under Prosecutor General to ensure efficient combat against corruption. Preliminary investigation of 70 criminal cases related to abuse of power, exceeding authority, bribing, embezzlement of public property against 121 persons were completed and submitted to the relevant courts.
